-Recognise - amplify - turbocharge.  Teacher needs to be purposeful, 'have a why', be selective - just because it's in 'turbocharge' column, will not necessarily mean it's more engaging or better, just that it is using the affordances of digital technology.
-very interested to find out more about Engage

    Interesting, so, knowing our students is important, their starting point, how and who they work with. so we select from the best engaged journey that will have their best understanding at the end. (whether it's turbo propelled or not by remembering to say why? to justify)

    The Engaging slides look interesting, with the data and explanations, to the adult learner especially the self-regulating and how it supports you right through life in your decisions
    key points, avoid obesity, maintain fitness, sustain marriages, prevent addiction, resist spending, save for old age phew.

 In preparation for our new student (E) enrolling next term, Beth (Speech Language Therapist), shared some excellent learning about Down syndrome, Makaton and Core Boards. Just-In-Time maths w Rob

Our maths curriculum action team had the opportunity to observe some of Rob's demo lessons at Ardmore School last week. Rob modelled with a year 5/6 group how you can have 6 questions around the room, kids buddy up and move around answering as many as poss. Teachers rove listening in to chat. After 20ish mins of problem solving, students were able to select to go back to one of the problems and talk more about it with one of the teachers i.e. what was hard, what was easy, common strategies. This is an engaging and efficient way for a teacher to check in and see where kids are at and tune in to what misconceptions there may be and what next learning steps are. A way more efficient and engaging way to assess than GLoSS. We've planned to do this in Totara next week - it'll be great formative assessment. Strengthening learning partnerships with whānau is a priority for us at Park Estate.  We want to share our learning with our families and ensure our students have an audience for their learning.  I created this video using Tellagami and iMovie.  Tellagami is an app I have on my iPhone.  I took a photos of my computer screen with my phone, drew on them with the photo editor and used these for the backgrounds.  It would have been good to have used screenshots instead for better quality. It's currently on a page in our school website I'm not sure if it's had any views from our families.  We can share this whānau meetings to let them know it's there, ask if there were any other videos we could create and share for their interest/use etc.  It would be good to have this recorded in other languages our families use also.
